The festival of Navratri has begun and the festivities is all there to see. The Navratri festival that is dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine forms will gather more momentum with each passing day. The first day was dedicated to Shailaputri while the second day, that is today, is dedicated to Bharmacharini.
For people who are more religiously inclined, the rituals are prayers are of utmost importance. The first day began with ghat sthapana in which seeds are sowed in a pot. The growth at the end of the festival will be immersed in water. For those who enjoy have fun, the cultural shows and dances are big. For them the real celebrations will begin when the celebrations are in full swing.
