With this hat-trick he became the first player who bagged the two hat tricks in World Cup matches. His 6-38 wickets haul helped his team in establishing an easy 9 wickets win over the opponents. The R Premadasa stadium in Colombo was packed with cricket crazy fans who were present their to cheer the home team. Even the Sri Lankan team proved their metal.
